The columns are a dull gold color and are made of pressed and painted steel. The bases are made of matte gold painted cast metal. Together they measure 5" in total height and the columns are flat on the back. The height can be adjusted shorter by trimming the columns. These can also be re painted to match your mantel clock. These are reproductions, not antique. Super for art projects also.
